Thank you for volunteering your time in the upcoming Fall 2022 Season. This season all volunteers who interact with the AYSO program and athletes must complete LiveScan, an inkless, electronic means of capturing fingerprints. (Live Scan is in addition to the Sterling background check initiated when you register as a volunteer on our website).

On-your-own LiveScan registration

We highly recommend you attend the in-person event but understand if your schedule does not permit. In that case, you must complete Live Scan on your own with a pre-paid AYSO voucher. To get started, volunteers must:

1) Email [email protected] and provide your Full Name to receive a pre-paid voucher
2) Go to https://www.applicantservices.com/AYSO-Prepaid to sign up for a session at a Live Scan location that is convenient for you
3) Follow these step by step instructions to sign up for your LiveScan session

How to Become a North Park AYSO Coach

Coaches are essential to the AYSO experience. Coaching is a rewarding experience because you have the opportunity to build a child's self-esteem. More importantly, working with kids is great fun! We need your help to model positive attitudes and teach soccer skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

All AYSO coaches and assistant coaches must be certified AT THE LEVEL HE OR SHE INTENDS TO COACH IN. To become certified, you must:

• Be a registered volunteer for the current membership year
• Complete the online AYSO Safe Haven course within the past 3 years (through AYSOU.org)
• Complete the online Concussion Awareness course within the past 3 years (through AYSOU.org)

If you have NEVER signed up to become a coach, follow these instructions:

• STEP 1 – Complete your volunteer application.

Log in to our Region 785.org ( Sports Connect Registration ) and select "Register", (top right)
Complete the volunteer application, indicating that you wish to volunteer as "Head Coach" or “Assistant Coach”.

• STEP 2 – Complete Safe Haven certification

Return to Sports Connect Region 785 and then access the “AYSOU” tab.
Click on "My Courses" to see a list of online courses, and then click on the AYSO’s Safe Haven course.
Upload your certificate.

• STEP 3 – Complete Concussion Awareness certification

Return to Sports Connect Region 785 and then access the “AYSOU” tab.
Click on "My Courses" to see a list of online courses, and then click on the  CDC Concussion course.
Upload your certificate.
 

• STEP 4 – Complete SafeSport certification

Return to Sports Connect Region 785 and then access the “AYSOU” tab.
Click on "My Courses" to see a list of online courses, and then click on the SafeSport course.
Upload your certificate.

• STEP 5 – Complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification

Return to Sports Connect Region 785 and then access the “AYSOU” tab.
Click on "My Courses" to see a list of online courses, and then click on the Sudden Cardiac Arrest course.
Upload your certificate.

Again, you do not have to be a soccer expert to come and learn how to teach kids to play the game. We will teach you. 
It is highly recommended that you seek certification as early as possible.
